ST Mary's Catholic High School played host to 250 pupils from primary schools to enable Year 6 children to enjoy a taste of life at St Mary's.
Pupils spent the day at the school on St Walburga's Road and sampled lessons in languages, science, art, music, technology and religious studies.
The aim of the day was to foster more secure links between the school and its "feeder" primary schools -- those schools from which pupils progress to St Mary's.

"I've really enjoyed myself today and managed to see quite a bit of the school. It's made me look forward to spending more time here next year, " he said.
