A MUSICAL taking a wry look at life in contemporary Britain is to have a re-run.
"An 'L' of a Do", penned by Clitheroe songwriter and dance school proprietor Gladys Sutcliffe, will take to the stage at the Civic Theatre, Oswaldtwistle, on Friday and Saturday, at 7.30pm.
The show, described as a "moralitical musical satire" played to packed houses at the Grand Theatre, Clitheroe, earlier this year.
Gladys said: "Everyone gets a dig, from the rich and famous, to politicians and the establishment. We played to packed houses in Clitheroe and are looking for a great run in Oswaldtwistle."
The showis being staged in aid of the Kenneth MacMillan Memorial Fund.
Clitheroe dad-of-two Kenneth died of cancer last year, and former schoolmates launched the fund in his memory in aid of the East Lancs Hospice and the Clitheroe Grand Cinema and Arts Centre project.
Tickets priced £7, £5 with concessions, from the Information Centre at Accrington Town Hall on 01254 380293 or the Sutcliffe Theatre School, Clitheroe, on 01200 425629.
