AFTER reading your second article on male circumcision on the NHS (LET, October 25), I think it is seriously wrong to ask our overstretched health service to carry out this procedure on religious grounds.
The Director of Public Health for East Lancashire is talking about testing it legally under human rights, and freedom to practice religion.
For heaven's sake wake up to your responsibility and ask the people who want hip replacements, heart bypasses and cataract operations what they think the priorities should be.
S CONWAY (Mr), Sunnyhurst Darwen.
