ROVERS chief scout Terry Darracott is believed to have run the rule over Finnish international Janne Saarinen at the weekend.
Darracott watched Saarinen star for Rosenberg as they clinched their 10th consecutive Tippeliga title with a 6-2 win over Brann Bergen.
But contrary to reports in Norway, Rovers are not preparing to follow up their interest with a concrete bid for the skilful left-back.
"We have scouts watching games all the time but it's just part and parcel of keeping tabs on who's out there," said chief executive John Williams.
