ENGLAND Under 21 international Martin Taylor stepped up his comeback from injury last night by playing a full 90 minutes in the reserves' 2-1 win over Bolton at the Reebok.
Taylor has missed Rovers' last seven first team games after undergoing surgery on a knee injury.
But he could now be in contention for a return at the weekend as Graeme Souness ponders his options ahead of the long trip to Southampton.
"Tiny came through well last night," said reserve boss Alan Murray.
"Once or twice he looked a little bit short of match practice and got in one or two positions he doesn't normally find himself.
"The pace of the game also caught him out occasionally but that will have stood him in good stead as well."
