I AM writing in response to a letter written by a certain 'SDF,' Bins out on time (letters, October 16).
Do you really have nothing letter to do with your time? (Perhaps you could try further education?)
If that is being 'grown up' I'd sooner not bother. I am myself a student, a 'mature' student if my official title is to be believed.
I look after my family, work toward my degree and in a part time job, I even manage to put my bins out on the right day.
To be honest, if the only respect I am due is for getting my bins out on time then why do I bother?
Oh, I remember... self respect. So it would appear that I am not in need of 'SDF's' respect anyway.
I feel I may have slightly undermined my cause as I actually took time out of my very busy day to reply. But there you go, perhaps I too am sad and grown up after all.
