MORECAMBE have been handed a mouthwatering draw in the first round of the FA Cup.
They take on the team who, if the league tables are to be believed, are the best in the competition at this stage.
Jim Harvey and his men travel to West London on November 17 to face Brentford, leaders of division two.
They will come up against one of football's most experienced managers, Steve Coppell and arguably its most controversial chairman, Ron Noades.
The Bees have lost just one game in the league this season -- and that was away from home. The Griffin Park clash will not, however, be on Sky TV.
Shrimps' chief executive Rod Taylor said: "We've gone from playing the lowest ranked team in the competition to, in terms of the league table, the highest ranked team.
"It will be a tough game but everyone will be up for it and we are looking forward to a great day.
"I know Jim Harvey is travelling down to watch Brentford this weekend and has talked to people who have played against them recently to find out more about them."
While Morecambe, who are without a game this weekend, were undoubtedly the 'winners' from the draw, Lancaster City were not so lucky. They must take on fellow Unibond league side Altrincham after overcoming Vauxhall Motors in a replay.
The game is fairly low on glamour, but the silver lining on that cloud is that the tie in Greater Manchester gives them a good chance to win through.
Boss Tony Hesketh said: "It's exciting to think that we are only two games away from somewhere like Old Trafford or Arsenal.
"We are playing a team from our own division and we go there fairly confident of getting a result."
Morecambe are hoping for a big crowd for Blackburn Rovers' reserve fixture on Tuesday against Leeds Utd.
Both sides are without a match the following weekend because of international commitments, meaning that hopes are high that stars from both sides will be given a run out.
Leeds' unveiled new £7 million signing Seth Johnson in their second string last week and are also bringing Gary Kelly and Lucas Radebe back from injury in coming weeks. Fringe players such as Jason Wilcox and England under-21 keeper Paul Robinson may also get a run out at Christie Park. Kick off is at 7pm.
Morecambe's official supporters club have announced rates for their coach to Brentford on November 17.
For members, prices are £16 for adults, £9 for children, £18 for non member adults and £10 for children. You can become a member when you buy your tickets. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Coaches will leave Christie Park at 8.30am. Tickets go on sale on Friday evening at JB's bar under the main stand at Christie Park this Friday from 8pm and at Tuesday's reserve game. They will then be sold from 7.30 to 8.30pm at JB's on subsequent nights.
