CONCERNED staff at the RSPCA centre on Division Lane, Blackpool, are desperately appealing for funding and sponsorship to keep the animal life-line open.
The centre needs to raise a massive £43,000 in the next six months if it is to keep running.
Manager at the Blackpool and North West Lancashire branch of the RSPCA Carol Jones explained: "We have been running on a very low budget for some time now and we have been trying to remedy this situation.
"We have opened a charity shop on Talbot Road, Blackpool, and would appreciate any clothes or bric-a-brac that people could donate.
"Or if anyone or any company would like to donate or hold an event in aid of our centre we would greatly appreciate their help."
