YOUNGSTERS at Sudellside Community Centre enjoyed learning how to make kites - and then saw how good their creations were by giving them tests flights.
Community development assistant Alison Collins said a dozen children, aged between five and eight, were taught how to make a kite from scratch by staff from the Action Factory Cultural Community centre in Blackburn.
Alison said: "The event was really good and everyone enjoyed themselves."
The activity was part of Blackburn with Darwen's Community Festival, which is a celebration of the council and community working together.
