POLICE have named the man who died after being involved in a hit and run incident on Sunday night.
Terence Cushing, who was 57, was walking along Bolton Road, Blackburn, at around 6.50pm when he stepped into the road and was struck by two vehicles.
Mr Cushing, who was unmarried and had no children, lived in the Model Hostel, in Police Street, Darwen.
Police managed to trace his mother and brothers and sisters, in the Barrow area of the Ribble Valley.
The second car failed to stop at the scene, close to the railway bridge near Blackburn Royal Infirmary, although police have since spoken to the driver and the passenger.
They have since been released on police bail.
The driver of the first car was spoken to at the scene.
