LEIGH and Wigan Police Cadets, pictured, have received £200 from Greater Manchester Police Federation.
Each year, the 31 voluntary cadets, aged between 16 and 19, aim to raise £1,000 to be shared between two good causes.
Their course runs for 34 weeks, and each cadet must put in at least two hours voluntary work a week, but many spend their free time organising weekly sponsored events to raise the money.
