PROPOSALS to boost the European jobs market are being backed by North West Labour Euro MP Gary Titley.
Mr Titley has given his whole-hearted support to plans to increase the EU budget for employment-creation projects, and to recognise the "valid and worthwhile role" local and regional authorities can play.
He said: "It is only when we work with those, who have vital in-depth knowledge of employment needs and peculiarities at local level, that we shall be able to fully reap the potential benefits of the measures agreed at the special EU Jobs Summit in Lisbon last year."
