A BUNGALOW is to be built on land that had been earmarked as a play area.
Planning chiefs have approved plans to build a three-bedroom bungalow with a single detached garage on land on Carr Lane, Lowton.
Previously, the land -- 960 square metres -- had been identified as part of the open space and to have an equipped play area on it.
The applicant has agreed to pay a financial sum in lieu of open space provision.
A report by council officers to the development control committee stated the addition of one extra dwelling on the estate would not compromise highway safety.
