THE co-ordinator of the Pendle Cat Rescue in Barrowford is appealing for help from the public and local businesses.
The Cat Rescue Service was set up four months ago to help rescue and re-home the borough's cats and now has 48 cats and kittens.
It is run by Julie Clavell-Bate from her home in Carr Hall Road and is a 24-hour job.
Julie is now hoping the people of Pendle will be able to help her continue to run the cat rescue service by donating items such as cages, cat carriers, cat food or anything else that will ease her expense.
She is also selling tickets for a Christmas raffle to raise funds to have some outbuildings renovated to allow her to take in more cats.
If any local company can offer her a place to sell tickets, or if anyone wants to buy the tickets, they can contact Julie on 01282 601418. Anyone willing to give a home to one of the cats or kittens can contact Julie on the same number.
The draw for the raffle will be made on December 17 with a first prize of a Claret and Blue Soccer Bed signed by the Burnley Football Club team.
