CHRIS DENHAM has returned to Stand after a week at UniBond Premier side Bamber Bridge.
The 18-year-old, who has scored 15 goals for the North West Counties Second Division high-flyers this season, turned up for Stand's postponed game against Leek CSOB last Saturday despite Bamber Bridge's insistence that he turn out for their friendly against Southport.
"He rang me to say he was available for Saturday," said manager Nick Davis. "I don't know what's gone on but I am not complaining."
Denham scored in Bamber Bridge's 3-0 win over Workington in the League Cup 10 days ago and the club gave him a 'them or us' ultimatum.
The teenager chose Bamber Bridge but has had a change of heart.
Stand meet one of Division Two's stronger sides, Squires Gate, in a league match at Ewood Bridge tomorrow.
They welcome back Steve Davis to their now fully fit squad. They have won 13 out of 16 league games even with injury problems.
"We will probably start losing now," said Davis.
