POLICE in Burnley are appealing for witnesses to an assault they are describing as "racially aggravated".
The attack took place on Saturday afternoon outside McDonald's in St James Street, Burnley.
A 20-year-old man was taken to Burnley General Hospital after being attacked by two males.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said the man was kicked and punched and has no memory of the incident.
It is thought the offenders, described as Asian, ran off in the direction of Church Street before getting into a taxi, possibly a red Cavalier.
Anyone with information about the attack should call 01282 425001 or 0800 555111.
