LOCAL arts and crafts people were being given the chance to sell their wares at Colne market on Saturday - but no-one turned up.
The free arts and crafts market was due to run on the first and fourth Saturday of the month, subject to demand.
There was no charge for those arts and crafts people taking a stall in the run up to Christmas.
Ian Varley, manager of the council-owned Colne Market Hall and Colne Open Market, said he was disappointed but thought people must have been put off by the weather.
The idea was seen as a risk-free opportunity for local arts and crafts people to test how their goods could sell direct to the public without incurring any charge.
The hope now is that the arts and crafts market will take off next time.
