FUNDS of Rossendale Hospice received a tasty £1,800 boost at their annual dinner.
The event was held at the new Village Hotel, Waterfold, Bury, and was organised by the special events committee.
The dinner was odds on to be a winner as it was themed around a race night.
Supports of the event included Manchester United and England footballer Philip Neville, Bolton FC manager Sam Allardyce and local entertainer Foo Foo LaMarr who acted as auctioneer.
Items for sale included a pair of breeches signed by jockeys Frankie Dettori, Pat Eddery and Jamie Spencer, a signed David Beckham shirt and Ryan Giggs' boots.
Other bargains included a day on the footplate of a steam train and an executive box at the MEN Arena in Manchester for the STEPS concert in December.
