The striker, known as the Hapton Hitman, had been struggling with flu in recent weeks but scored a crucial second goal for the Shakers as they pulled off a suprise win over big spending Cardiff City at Gigg Lane.
An early goal from Jason Jarrett provided comfort as Bury weathered some first half pressure.
Keeper Paddy Kenny made a couple of fine saves in his busiest game for some time and Martyn Forrest managed to snuff out the threat from Cardiff play-maker Graham Kavanagh.
But it was a second half vituoso performance from debutant 18-year-old David Borley which stole the show.
The precocious youngster not only set up a second goal for Seddon, but crowned his man of the match evening with a magnificent goal, which he himself had started from his own penalty area.
Bu the young Bury side - with only two players aged over 23 - have a long way to go though to be sure of safety.
Bury mascot Robbie the Bobby and Cardiff's Barclay the Bluebird were thrown out after a touchline fight where stewards had to separate them.
