PEOPLE from Great Harwood are being invited to air their views on the future of their town by a team of regeneration experts.
Following their appointment in October by Lancashire County Council, Warrington-based consultants Business Environments have been working with the Council, Hyndburn Borough Council, the Accrington, Church and Great Harwood Partnership and the Great Harwood Area Council to identify regeneration opportunities in Great Harwood.
The £20,000 study team is eager to canvass the opinion of all interested parties and wants to hear from as many people as possible.
Councillor George Slynn, chairman of the county council environment overview committee, said: "There have been a number of hurdles that have made attracting investment to Great Harwood difficult in the past.
"The county council is making a significant investment in the town to ensure the problems are identified and local people play their part in finding the solutions."
Two events have been set to take place in Great Harwood tomorrow The study team will be at the Youth and Community Centre, Lowerfold Road, between noon and 5.30pm. A second event then takes place between 6pm and 8pm at Bank Mill House, Church Street.
Anyone keen to contribute their view before the meeting can contact Peter Crompton at Business Environments on 01925 844000.
