HISTORY lovers in Darwen are invited to take part in a quiz and raise money for Children In Need.
Darwen Heritage Centre member Ray Kemp has set 25 historical questions all about the town.
Quiz sheets can be bought for 50p from the Darwen Heritage Centre on the Bolton Road or from local pubs: The White Lion, Black Horse, Mill Gap and the Britannia. The closing date is December 10, prizes will be awarded to the first three correct entries drawn on December 15.
Also in aid of Children in Need is a Mile Smile Event planned by heritage member Terence Wilding. It is hoped a mile of people will form a smile on November 17. For more details on this and other events to be held by the centre in aid of Children In Need contact the heritage centre on 706442.
