FORMER Dr Feelgood frontman Wilko Johnson will perform at Blackburn's North bar on Thursday.
Canvey Island's most famous son was involved in some of the most influential albums of the 1970s and his innovative guitar style made him the mentor of most punk and new wave guitarists.
Wilko is lean, mean and totally wired, as are his live shows which showcase songs from throughout his illustrious career and into the future.
He will be joined on stage by Norman Watt-Roy, the backbone of Ian Dury and The Blockheads, who has contributed his talents to albums by artistes as diverse as The Clash and Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
Completing the trio at the bar in Northgate is Monti, another ex-Blockhead who has also occupied the drum stool for the Jesus and Mary Chain and Curve.
Tickets are priced £6 on the door. For more information call 01254 682670.
