A NEW brewery has taken over the pumps at Samlesbury's Halfway House.
JW Lees replaced Wolverhampton and Dudley Brewery but has kept manager Adele Geering and her family in place.
The main difference for the customers is the menu which now features fresh home cooking.
The more recognisable beers and lagers have also been swapped for JW Lees's own brands which include seasonal guest ales. This season's is White Bear.
Adele, 38, said: "The food is now much better value for money and we are not wasting cash on a chef who is putting things in the microwave.
"It is going down really well and the customers are enjoying it more.
"As a trained chef myself, I'm now getting more job satisfaction."
Helping Adele keep it in the family are husband Christopher, 36, and daughter Janice, 20, who help behind the bar. The couple's son, Jason, 19, lives there but works elsewhere, and daughter Samantha, 16, is training as a chef in the Lake District.
