REGARDING chairman Barry Kilby's "The fans are not behind us" (LET, November 6) remarks about disappointing attendances, a lot of Burnley people have been losing their jobs.
That is why it is so hard to afford £14 to go on the Turf.
The match with Sheffield United was shown free on TV and later that night Birmingham's game on television only cost £5 to watch.
As a genuine fan taking home only £150 having to pay 10 per cent of my income to watch 90 minutes of action is expensive and even more so if I want something to eat or drink at the ground.
We are being taken for fools with the prices.
Would a Burnley player pay 10 per cent of his weekly wage to watch a football match?
