WITH regard to the response Councillor Bill Taylor gave to the Santa picture of Osama bin Laden that a trader had to take down (LET, November 5), I would like to hear his response to the march by the hard-line Muslims on November 10 and threats against the leader of our government and George Bush.

The men and women who fought for our freedom and democracy must feel it was in vain when our freedom of speech is slowly being taken from us.

Yet, in Birmingham outside the central mosque we have a man selling copies of bin Laden's film urging an uprising against the West.

This is more likely to cause a breach of the peace, Councillor, than a picture of a murdering terrorist with a Christmas hat on.
