BURGLARS will find their plans thwarted, thanks to a new scheme in Bacup and Stacksteads.
Residents do not have to have been a victim of crime in order to qualify for the Burglary Fightback campaign.
The scheme will see properties fitted with five-lever door locks, window locks, door chains and door viewers.
It has been funded by Rossendale Council, Lancashire Police and Bacup and Stacksteds Community Partnership through SRB funding.
Anyone who is interested in taking advantage of the Burglary Fightback scheme should get in touch with project co-ordinator Donald Earnshaw at Bacup Neighbourhood Office on 07779 039381.
