VANDALS slashed the tyres of 34 cars when they went on the rampage in Radcliffe.
The attacks on vehicles parked in the Turks Road, Countess Lane, Lichfield Road and Pilkington Road areas occurred in the early hours of Sunday and Monday (Nov 11-12).
Inspector John Higson of Radcliffe Township said: "In the main the damaged cars had been parked on the road. Some of them had three or four of their tyres slashed."
Mrs Karen Peters (34) of Pilkington Road had the tyre of her Fiat slashed.
"I'm extremely angry and very frustrated," she said. "I was one-and-a-half hours late for work because of it. A neighbour had all four of the tyres on his van done!"
Insp Higson said: "We are following up a positive line of enquiry and will send a blood sample for DNA testing."
He added that a window was smashed at Kwik Fit on Bury Road on Sunday morning and a connection to the criminal damage to the tyres could not be ruled out.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and if you saw anything suspicious you should call 872 5050 or CrimeStoppers on freephone 0800 555111.
