PUPILS at Arnold School, Blackpool, took their grannies and granddads to a "grandparents day" where they could take part in lessons.
Geography teacher John Ashcroft organised the event to help grandparents understand modern education, including technological advances in the classroom.
The event attracted hundreds of interested grandparents, including former Arnold boy John Nelder who said he enjoyed seeing the "wonderful opportunities" classrooms now offer and asked: "When can we come again?"
John Ashcroft added: "While many of the answers remain the same, the methods used today are often a world away from what happened in their school days and we hope that through this link we are all working together for the benefit of the pupils."
