COMMUNITY singing took on a new meaning when a popular residents' association staged its annual concert.
Around 50 people attended the event which was held by the Brandlesholme Residents' Association.
Singer-comedian Mark Stead and pianist Ada Finch entertained the guests at the Brandlesholme Methodist Church hall and there were also refreshments.
Association secretary Mrs Jean Crossley said: "This was the seventh such annual concert we had staged and it went wonderfully well. Our association, which has 1,100 members, has been going since 1973 and we pay for the concert through membership subscriptions."
