PROTESTERS opposed to the war with Afghanistan will present Lancaster MP Hilton Dawson with a petition on Saturday.
The Lancaster District Coalition Against the War (LDCAW) says it is deeply concerned about the US and UK continuing the war into other states, using the threat of terrorism as a justification.
A letter writing campaign in the last two weeks has already seen more than 250 people write to Mr Dawson and Geraldine Smith MP.
This Saturday, a protest is to be held at Market Square at 1.15pm, followed by a march to Mr Dawson's surgery at Moor Lane to hand over the petition and ask what his position on the war is now with the Afghan winter only a few days away.
