AN OPEN day has been set for the Huncoat neighbourhood project which was set up with more than £4,000 area council money.
Donations were also received from Huncoat's Methodist Church, Ladies' Club and Youth Club, to go towards converting a room at Huncoat Methodist Church hall, into a community room.
Work on the room at the Marshall Avenue hall has now been completed and it has been effectively transformed to include comfy chairs, hot drink facilities and a library service.
Residents will be able to view the facilities and find out more about other clubs and services held at the church hall between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday, December 4.
Groups attending include Huncoat Men's Club and Huncoat Ladies' Club who are looking to recruit new members, Weightwatchers, a linedancing group and Help The Aged.
