A MAJOR UK marketing roadshow will roll into Bury next week.
And it will underline how local businesses can afford to successfully market their companies without wasting precious budgets.
The Biz Vision event is being staged at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel on Tuesday (Nov 20), by Hollins-based chartered accountants DTE.
The successful low-cost marketing show will feature a new BBC-produced video, Spend Less Sell More, along with a seminar.
And the organisers say this will provide about 50 practical marketing ideas and tips, including effective advertising, PR, direct mail and marketing on the Internet. The roadshow comes after research showed that only one in four owners and directors of small and medium-sized businesses get a full night's sleep.
The others worry about a host of problems including gaining and keeping new customers, and being able to afford to market their business.
"We're delighted that we have managed to exclusively secure one of the select number of UK dates for this show," said Richard Taylor, of DTE.
"This seminar will be presented by Malcolm Gallagher, who is also the writer and presenter of the BBC-produced Biz Vision programmes. So, we've got a very special event for local businesses."
During the seminar, video clips will be played. And these will feature winning businesses filmed by BBC crews during the production of the Biz Vision series.
Tickets are priced at £49 plus VAT and are available by ringing Brenda Horrocks on 767 1200.
