ENGLAND's most-capped fly-half Rob Andrew will host a special event on teamwork later this month.
But Rob will be be tackling the world of business, rather than the sport of rugby when he takes part in the function at the Village Hotel in Bury.
The Making Teamwork Work event is being staged by Business Link North Manchester, which provides a range of services for companies in Bury, Bolton, Wigan, Oldham and Rochdale.
The former rugby star will take businesses through the behaviours necessary to convert good intention into hard results, leaving guests ready to inspire the spirit of teamwork in their key players. Commenting on the event, to take place on Friday, November 23, from 11am, Business Link North Manchester organisation development manager Anne Cooke said: "The biggest factor in the success or failure of business is the quality of staff.
"The skills, talents and attitude of managers and employees are critical to the development of companies."
Businessmen and women will take part in a short interactive session to pinpoint what issues matter most.
Anne added: "Using this interactivity, together with Rob Andrew's understanding of making teamwork work, we hope guests will leave knowing more about how they can use staff training and development to gain higher productivity, greater competitiveness, higher customer satisfaction, more motivated staff, better company image and improved internal communications."
During his England career, Rob Andrew made 70 appearances for his country and scored 396 points.
In 1995, he was appointed director of rugby at Newcastle RFC and four years later, was selected by the Rugby Football Union to head up a task force for the restructuring of the game in England.
