CLITHEROE have put seven days on Darwen striker Matt Swailes.
The former Chorley and Salford City striker has scored four goals in his three games for the NWCL Division Two side and has attracted the interest of Blues boss Lee Sculpher.
"I know him from his days at Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Workington," said the Clitheroe chief.
But Darwen manager Steve Wilkes hopes he can keep the frontman at the Anchor Ground.
"I knew teams would be interested in him but I didn't realise they would come so soon. I have spoke to Matt and he has said he wants to stay with us."
Clitheroe can talk to the striker early next week.
