BLACKBURN band The Burn warm-up for their Paul Weller tour with a special charity concert in their hometown next week.
Having just completed a successful tour of the UK with the legendary Oasis, the lads are set to swap some the country's biggest stages for this special show in memory of Michelle Hilton.
Frontman Daniel Davidson said: "We had had the idea to do it in memory of Michelle and all the money raised will go to Cancer Research and her favourite cancer charity."
The special event which takes place at the Oak Tree Pub on Livesey Branch Road next Saturday will also feature a charity auction.
Daniel said: "Loads of people have donated things for the auction.
"The night's not about The Burn it's about raising as much money as possible."
The event is by ticket only which are available at the Pub or at the Hair Gallery, Redlam, priced £10.
Michelle, of Blackburn, died at the age of 37 leaving two young children. She had campaigned for 18 months to be given the drug Herceptin to help her fight the disease. She finally persuaded the local health authority to change its policy on the expensive drug but died before she was able to take it.
