TWO men were today in hospital with serious injuries after their car crashed into a lamp postat 8.35pm on Saturday on the A581 Southport Road,Chorley, .
Police said the car, a Citroen AX driven by teenager Stuart Wood, appeared to have left the road, crashing into the lamp post.
Mr Wood, 18, of Cottage Fields, Chorley, had serious leg and arm injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
Passenger Mark Booth, 24, of Eaves Lane, Chorley, suffered a skull fracture and had to be freed by fire crews. He was also taken to Royal Preston Hospital. Both were today said to be in a "serious" condition.
