FOUR Blackburn churches have joined forces to provide a new facility for youngsters in their parishes.
The North Blackburn Youth Project is a collaboration between Revidge Fold United Reformed Church, St James C of E; Church of the Good Shepherd and Lammack Methodist. The churches have pooled their resources to refurbish the basement at the Revidge Fold Church and create the Buzz Club.
New toilets have been installed a kitchen/dining area created, pool table and table tennis equipment purchased, art workshops and a computer learning facility established at the centre which will be officially opened by the Mayor of Blackburn, Councillor John Williams, on Saturday December 8.
There are plans to extend the opening days to include most weekday evenings.
