IN a game with eight goals and nearly as many misses Saturday's NWCL Division Two fixture between Padiham and Cheadle Town provided plenty of entertainment for the spectators.
But it was only a point for the home side despite having their noses in front three times during the 90 minutes.
Andy Noone gave the visitors a 12 minute lead. However, on 25 minutes Padiham drew level when Ian Pilkington got on the end of a John Harrison knock-back.
Pilkington put the Storks in front six minutes before the interval.
But a mistake by Padiham keeper Kirk Marsden let in Cheadle's Phil Morgardo to equalise on 44 minutes.
Pilkington regained Padiham the lead in the 71 minute to complete his hat trick. Phil Morgardo made it 3-3 in the 75 minute and two minutes later Anthony McCluskey made it 4-3 to Padiham when he scored from the penalty spot.
Five minutes from full time Noone grabbed a late equaliser for Cheadle. Padiham's Jamie Edmondson almost snatched it but he hit the crossbar in the final minutes.
