A strike by Steve Holmes in the last seconds of the game denied Bury a passage into the second round of the F A Cup after the Shakers had taken the lead through a brilliant goal from Gareth Seddon.
The 21 year old Burnley based former RAF man is getting better with every game enjoying an outstanding afternoon and he can count himself unlucky not have sealed the tie for Bury with a hat trick.
Seddon signalled his intentions in the first minute of the game with a rasping drive which brought a brilliant save from the Lincoln goalkeeper.
Seddon, and his fellow 21 year old strike partner Jon Newby, caused problems all afternoon for the home defence with their pace and intelligent running.
Teenager David Borley again looked a very classy act in midfield where skipper Martyn Forrest led by example and was outstanding for the marauding Shakers.
Lincoln however played some very neat football and Shakers keeper Paddy Kenny made two outstanding saves and Bury looked to have done enough to win through until Holmes' last gasp equaliser ensured a replay for the home side.
The Shakers face a trip to Leyton Orient in the next round if they get passed Lincoln.
