TWO men are in hospital with serious injuries after a road crash early yesterday in Albert Road Colne.
A Ford Sierra is thought to have collided with a minibus close to the junction with Sutherland Street.
One of the four traffic lights at the junction was knocked over in the collision and the lights were out of order all day yesterday.
Sierra driver Mark Laird, 34, of Newton Street, Colne was released by firefighters who used cutting equipment.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital and his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Minibus driver Tariq Mamood, 31, of Henden Road, Nelson was also taken to Burnley General Hospital suffering from chest and neck injuries. A passenger in the minibus, which is believed to be a private hire vehicle, was also injured.
Alan Maden of Home Crescent Trawden was taken to hospital with cuts to his wrists and neck, but later allowed home.
