NIK MICHOPOULOS: Had virtually nothing to do all afternoon although he did make some good catches under pressure...7
DEAN WEST: Delighted Ternent with the way he linked up with Paul Weller and Glen Little down the right flank...7
ARTHUR GNOHERE: Switched to left back in the second half and lost the ball a couple of times in dangerous areas...6
IAN COX: Superb. Whether the ball was in the air on the ground he looked in total control of the situation...8
LEE BRISCOE: Suffered an early knock but soldiered on until making way for Ball at half-time...6
GLEN LITTLE: Yet another goal on one of his quieter afternoons. But still a problem for any defence...7
PAUL WELLER: His corner created the first and he had another busy game in the middle of the park...7
TONY GRANT: Continued in his workmanlike way as the Clarets frutsrated the Sky Blues...7
PAUL COOK: Quick thinking for the second goal was typical of a man who always has an eye for an opportunity...7
IAN MOORE: Failed to test the keeper and at times lacked the confidence to pull the trigger when well placed...6
GARETH TAYLOR: Another stunning header to make it four in five for the in-form striker who even forced a save with a shot...7

TALKING TACTICS
FOR the fourth successive game it was the same 11 for Stan Ternent and even when Briscoe was taken off injured he kept 4-4-2, Ball slotting in at the back. Depleted Coventry went 3-5-2 giving a full debut to central defender Calum Davenport.
SOCCER HERO
IAN Cox was magnificent at the back. Arthur Gnohere may have grabbed the headlines in recent games but Cox was in imperious form at Highfield Road.
THE VILLAIN
RICHARD Shaw decided to have a swing at his own keeper as they "discussed" the Clarets second goal. Did not properly connect, more Annie Lennox than Lennox Lewis.
SKILL SPOT
SPOTTING an opening is a skill in itself and there will be no sharper free kick this season than Paul Cook's gift to Glen Little
TIME FOR ACTION
10Paul Weller's corner is headed home by Gareth Taylor, finding the top corner
17Marcus Hall blasts over the bar as the home side gets a first sight of goal
20Ian Moore shoots wide from Glen Little's low cross
34Paul Cook's quick thinking from a free kick gives Little an open goal
85Ian Moore wastes a chance after a flowing move by failing to shoot
89Substitute Lee Fowler sees his shot deflected behind for a corner
90Taylor shoots from long range and Magnus Hedman saves
90Arthur Gnohere's weak back header gives Laurent Delorge a chance but he lobs wide
MATCH VERDICT
GOING away from home and barely allowing the home side a chance is just what any manager would want. The Clarets went back on top and deservedly so thanks to two impressive goals.
