IT was quite disturbing to see the photograph and report on the Taliban supporters' demonstration (LET, November 12).
Why were these protesters not fighting for their cause instead of plying their support on the people of Blackburn, or at least trying to?
How can the law allow agitators to march, accompanied by police officers, and then air their views at the frontage of Blackburn Town Hall only hours before Remembrance Sunday when we remembered men and women who fought for the likes of the protesters and other Britons, so that we could live peacefully in the years following?
Protests are an easy option, but to carry out the reason for the protest would need brave men and I am not sure I witnessed any in your photograph.
