RESIDENTS in Bury East get the first chance tonight (Tues Nov 20) to check out the progress of their local Community Plan since it was officially launched.
They are being invited to attend the latest meeting of the Bury East area board to be held at the town's Broad Oak High School in Hazel Avenue, beginning at 7pm.
Although it's still early days yet, the local board will be taking a look at the way things are going and also offering local people an opportunity to make their own comments.
As usual, the meeting will have its own 45 minute open forum session during which any issues or concerns involving the locality can be raised.
Councillors and local authority offiials will be hand to answer questions as will representatives from other partnership agencies such as the police.
Bury East area board chairman, Councillor Trevor Holt, added: "We will also be reviewing the impact of our Kickstart funding to date and deciding on other potential schemes and initiatives to support.
"It should be an interesting evening and I am hopeful that we will have our usual strong turn out."
Copies of the agenda will be available on the night or they can be obtained in advance from Paul Jones at the Council's democratic services, on 0161-253-5399.
For further information about the area board and its workings, contact area co-ordinator, Jason Crausby on 0161-253-6349.
