RIBBLE Valley Quality Bus Initiative was hoping to scoop top honours at the national bus "Oscars" today.
The project is among three Lancashire County Council nominations for the national Bus Industry Awards at the London Hilton.
The awards were to be presented by Gwyneth Dunwoody MP, chairman of the transport, local government and the regions select committee,
Lancashire County Council has a history of achievement in these awards and last year scooped two top awards for the Clitheroe Interchange project.
This year, the Ribble Valley initiative has been shortlisted in the Queensbury Shelter Infrastructure Award category, which is the first full rural quality bus partnership.
