A FIRE which started in a house in William Street, Blackburn, last night spread smoke to three other neighbouring houses.
Firefighters were called to the house at just after 9.30pm, after a fire which had started in the backyard spread to the house, filling it with smoke.
After evacuating all the occupants, fire crews used a ventilation unit to clear the smoke from three other houses nearby. All four were left smoke damaged.
