PLANS to extend a former church in the heart of Blackburn are set to be approved, despite objections from neighbours.
H&S Furniture, of Montague Street, have applied to rebuild a workshop to the rear of the building, which was a church before becoming an industrial unit and then a shop in 1994.
Objections have been received from solicitors acting on behalf of neighbours, claiming the development would have a detrimental affect on them. But the planning and highways committee, due to meet tomorrow are likely to approve the application.
