THINKING on Remembrance Day about all the young men who gave their lives for this country -- like my grandfather who was blown to bits in France -- the last thing I needed that day was to hear fireworks being let off. The noise of them is so loud and I think the government should ban all explosives.
The tradition for the fireworks is to let them off on November 5 only, not all year round.
I feel that there was no respect shown on Remembrance Day by those who let them off and I bet they don't even know why we let the fireworks off in the first place.
