A WORKER who was struck by a car while installing a bus shelter in Manchester Road , Hapton, is in a 'comfortable' condition in Burnley General Hospital today.
Michael Smith, 28, of Normanton, Derbyshire, was working for bus shelter supply company Macemain when the accident happened last Tuesday.
Police believe the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa which struck him, Tracey Duxbury, 36, of Castle Street, Hapton, may have been dazzled by sunlight.
Mr Smith was at first in the intensive care unit in Burnley with serious head and internal injuries.
