A WOMAN whose dog went missing a week ago has appealed for her safe return to stop her other dog pining.
Catherine Marchbank was walking her one-year-old black, tan and white beagle in Huncoat last Tuesday when she ran off in search of rabbits.
But a week later she has still not returned, and her bloodhound companion Chester is finding his dog bed too cold without her.
Catherine said: "She often wanders off and comes back within an hour. I think someone may have taken her in.
"But Chester is really missing her, because he has got an empty bed. They usually share a big, wooden bed together and keep eachother warm."
Friendly Lucy is just 13 inches tall and was wearing a red and blue nylon collar with a Battersea Dogs' Home logo on it. If you can help contact Catherine on 07808 897538.
