RAMSBOTTOM'S South African trialist Alfred Mocheke has had to return home.
The 21-year-old centre half was unable to obtain a visa to remain in Britain and flew back to South Africa this morning (Monday Nov 19).
Rams manager Mike Kelly said: ,,He cannot get a work permit so has no means of keeping himself in this country.
,,It is a real shame because he definitely has it. He is the classiest centre half I have ever seen and he was just coming out of his shell.
,,I have told him to go home, get some money behind him, get everything sorted and let us know.
Mocheke came to the Riverside, via Manchester City, from Rentmeester in South Africa. He and team mate Gareth Ormes were the brightest prospects at their club in Pretoria and bosses there wanted the pair to try to make it England.
Club chiefs paid for them to travel to England to Manchester City, whose scout Jimmy Fox advised them to prove themselves in non-League football before trying to break into the professional game here.
Midfielder Ormes, who is 19, has a British passport so will stay with the Rams.
